Mediatoolkit is the company behind a SaaS media monitoring tool that tracks relevant mentions of brands and companies across the web and social media in real-time. Our product is used daily by more than 4000 business users in more than 100 countries around the world, and we are growing faster every day. That also means growing our 50+ team of passionate individuals focused on personal and business growth.
You’ll be joining our Engineering department as a Java/Kotlin Engineer who will work on our projects - besides Mediatoolkit, we’re currently working on AIDWAS, a cyberspace monitoring system you can read all about here.
You’ll work closely with Product and Tech Ops to develop our product and implement new features. The Engineering department deals with a whole bunch of things: building scrapers that collect the latest news from millions of websites on the Internet and building machine learning algorithms and using all publicly available data are just the tip of the iceberg. However, what everyone in the department has in common is their dedication to producing clean and scalable code that allows us to keep a stable system while innovating and exploring new solutions. If you share the same passion and set the quality bar for your work as high as possible (and beyond) - hit us up!
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We have thousands of happy users, and we want to increase those numbers - both in users and their happiness. 😁 Our ideal candidate thrives on being able to influence what we do and how we do it, which is why we expect deep domain understanding, as well as familiarity with a broad range of technologies. The ideal candidate for this position cares deeply about software architecture, likes to explore new trends in technology and solve complex challenges, and puts quality first - not because it’s a catchy thing to say, but because every segment of our code has been upgraded in our development history - and it’s bound to continue in the same direction.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
The team you are joining is in charge of designing, implementing and testing the entire backend system - collecting, analyzing and storing data, as well as developing the Mediatoolkit API. In short, we are building a real-time data processing system, where the focus is primarily on the development of algorithms and distributed real-time data processing. We do not use monolithic enterprise solutions (Java EE), and another team is in charge of working on the frontend part of the application.
